Immerse yourself in beautiful rural landscapes and historic attractions among the north east countryside of Perth. Enjoy the annual and very entertaining Moondyne Festival of Toodyay. Begin with a visit to the world’s longest pipeline at Mundaring Weir, before heading to the Avon Valley’s quaint country town of York, discover all on offer over three nights, as we venture near and far to explore the surrounding areas.
Itinerary
Day 1. Perth to York (LD)
Today, you holiday begins with courtesy collection from home to our coach for our journey east. First up, we visit Mundaring Weir’s historic No 1 Pump Station, nearby we step into the Mundaring Gallery to view local art and craft, before we make our way to the charming town of Chidlow. Here we will enjoy lunch at the Chidlow Tavern. After, we continue our journey to York to check into our accommodation for the evening.
Overnight each night: Settlers House, York
Day 2. York (BLD)
Toot toot, today you gain a glimpse into the lives of York’s pioneers, beginning at the York Motor Museum, we take you to the The Sock Factory and York Residency Museum. After a delicious lunch at Flour Mill Café we will enjoy some tastings at the York Olive Oil Co and for those sweet tooths, a fresh Icecream!
Day 3. Moondyne Festival Toodyay (BD)
This morning we travel to Toodyay, where the legend of Moondyne Joe, the Avon Valley’s legendary bushranger transforms the picturesque historical town of Toodyay, Western Australia into a lively all-day festival, the highlight of the day being the re-enactment of Moondyne Joe’s various escapades throughout the town, his arrests and mock trials. In the afternoon there will be time at your leisure to explore the fascinating history and local produce.
Day 4. Homeward bound via Beverley and Brookton (BL)
Enjoy morning tea in beautiful Beverley before we sit down together for a fabulous farewell lunch nestled in the scenic Perth Hills at the Parkerville Tavern. Upon arrival in Perth we will see you safely home.

Suitable for travellers with lower mobility.
You will be required to embark/disembark coaches, trains and other transport via steps unaided. You must be able to carry your own luggage and walk short distances. Stairs may need to be negotiated at times. Travellers with walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome and those requiring accompanying assistance and/or carer may consider these holidays.

Required to walk confidently and unaided.
Expect guided walking tours of attractions with occasional inclines and stair climbs, some long days and multiple hotel changes during the holiday. Your accommodation may require access via stairs, a short walk to reach hotel facilities and have showers over baths. Travellers with walking sticks are welcome unless there is overnight rail or overnight cruising - please check with staff.
