Itinerary

Your holiday itinerary (ex Perth, Western Australia)

Day 1. Perth to Brisbane (D)
We collect you from home for the journey to Brisbane, upon arrival into Brisbane you’ll get settles into your hotel in South Bank, your base for the duration of your holiday. Overnight each night: Novotel Brisbane South Bank, Brisbane

Day 2. Brisbane sights, Beenleigh Historical Village and Tamborine Mountain (BD)
Take an introductory tour of Brisbane aboard the coach, then visit the Beenleigh Historical Village and Museum for an insight of early Australia. On the guided tour, locals will share their knowledge of the region’s history and culture. For lunch (at own expense) today, be spoilt for choice as we travel into the clouds and explore the picturesque hinterland of Tamborine Mountain.

Day 3. Koalas and gardens (BLD)
This Morning we will visit the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary – the world’s first and largest koala sanctuary. Here, you can hold a koala, hand-feed kangaroos and meet a variety of Australian wildlife in the sanctuary’s natural settings. After a delicious group lunch, we will travel to Mt Coot-tha where panoramic views of Brisbane and its surrounding areas awaits. Nearby, the Brisbane Botanic Gardens provide a lush, tranquil escape with diverse plant collections and serene walking paths. There will be free time in the afternoon to explore the South Bank precinct, the Gallery of Modern Art and Queensland Museum.

Day 4. North Stradbroke Island (BD)
This morning we catch the ferry from Cleveland to beautiful North Stradbroke Island. Upon arrival, we will drive to Brown Lake for morning tea. Afterwards, head to the historic town of Dunwich to explore the Heritage Listed cemetery at Bingle Road and convict sites on Junner Street, before heading to Amity Point for lunch (at own expense). After lunch we stretch our legs on the Boardwalk walk, which takes in spectacular panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.

Day 5. Cruise to the Gold Coast and the Australian Outback Spectacular (BLD)
Take in the scenery on your cruise from Brisbane to the Gold Coast including lunch. Next, have a little wander around the Gold Coast and enjoy unrivalled 360-degree views from the coast to the hinterland at the Sky Point Observation Deck before heading to the acclaimed Australian Outback Spectacular to see the entertaining Heartland show and enjoy a delicious dinner. Escape into Australia’s harsh heartland as you follow the journey of true Australian characters who overcome the challenges of an unforgiving life on the land with support from their community.

Day 6. Brisbane to Perth (B)
We transfer you to Brisbane Airport for your return flight to Perth. Upon arrival, we will see you safely home.

Tour Activity Levels

With such a diverse collection of travel options, we want to ensure you choose the right holiday for you.


Our tour activity levels are a guide to the required fitness level for each of our holidays.


Look out for the feet when reading about a tour!

  • Relaxed

    Suitable for travellers with lower mobility.


    You will be required to embark/disembark coaches, trains and other transport via steps unaided. You must be able to carry your own luggage and walk short distances. Stairs may need to be negotiated at times. Travellers with walking aids (sticks and walkers) are welcome and those requiring accompanying assistance and/or carer may consider these holidays.

  • Moderate

    Required to walk confidently and unaided.


    Expect guided walking tours of attractions with occasional inclines and stair climbs, some long days and multiple hotel changes during the holiday. Your accommodation may require access via stairs, a short walk to reach hotel facilities and have showers over baths. Walkers are ok unless there is overnight rail or cruising included in the tour.

  • Active

    Requires some fitness. Involves longer days filled with activities, excursions requiring standing and walking for extended periods of time and nature-based activities. You will be required to walk confidently over uneven ground and surfactant at a timely pace.

  • Highly Active

    Requires good general fitness. Excursions will be over more difficult terrain and require a certain level of agility. You will be required to walk confidently for up to 3 hours over uneven surfaces including soft sand, rocky surfaces and creek crossing. Some itineraries will explore remote locations. No walkers allowed.

  • Challenging

    A high level of fitness is required. Tours have an emphasis on active pursuits and often explore remote locations which are challenging to access. You will be required to walk confidently for up to 6 or more hours per day and have experience in outdoor pursuits. No walkers allowed.


    Your health, wellbeing and enjoyment of the holiday is very important to us. In order to protect the health and wellbeing of our staff and suppliers, electric scooters and buggies are not permitted on Villa tours.
