Day 1. Sunshine Coast Hinterland (D)
We collect you from home for the flight to Brisbane. Upon arrival, transfer to the Sunshine Coast’s Hinterland to immerse yourself in historic villages and a vibrant artistic community. Overnight: Montville Inn, Montville
Day 2. Maleny and Montville (BD)
Discover the stunning subtropical rainforest and a living museum of diverse plant and animal life at Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve overlooking the Glass House Mountains. Then board a tractor and sample the produce at Maleny Dairies, before spending time at leisure in Maleny and Montville. Overnight: Montville Inn, Montville
Day 3. Eumundi and Noosa (BD)
Sample ginger treats and travel through subtropical gardens aboard a historic train at The Ginger Factory. Next, browse the Eumundi Markets, then cruise the hidden waterways of the Noosa Sound Canals and spend time at leisure on Hastings Street. Overnight: Montville Inn, Montville
Day 4. Australia Zoo (BD)
Spend today wandering around the world-famous Australia Zoo, which is home to more than 1200 animals. There are plenty of shows and wildlife action to keep you entertained for the day. Overnight: Montville Inn, Montville
Day 5. Caboolture Historical Village (BD)
On the journey to the Gold Coast Hinterlands, admire the Glass House Mountains, before visiting Caboolture Historical Village to learn about the area’s local history. There are over 70 buildings to explore and more than 110,000 museum pieces to view. This afternoon arrive at the O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat. Overnight: O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat
Day 6. Rainforest Retreat wildlife encounters (BD)
Today we will immerse ourselves in the beautiful surroundings of the World Heritage listed Lamington National Park. We will watch in awe as aerial predators perform and we get up close to other species of wildlife in the rainforest as we learn about the area’s history. Overnight: O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat
Day 7. Rainforest Retreat walking and 4WD tours (BD)
This morning we’ll start the day with an early morning bird watching walk before enjoying a full buffet breakfast. There will be more opportunities to view the area’s wealth of wildlife today and we will take a lovely guided walk to the Tree Top Walkway. After lunch we will buckle up for a four-wheel-driving tour to a scenic lookout, before sitting back for an audio visual presentation on the area’s flora and fauna. After dinner we’ll get back to nature and toast some marshmallows on the campfire! Overnight: O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat
Day 8. Gold Coast to Perth (B)
Today we will transfer to Brisbane for the flight to Perth. Upon arrival we will see you safely home.
