Day 1. Perth to Cairns (Inflight)                                                                        
We collect you from home for your flight to Cairns. Overnight: Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort, Cairns
 
Day 2. Cairns iconic experiences (BLD)                                                           
Following a Cairns city tour, we stop at the of the Flecker Botanic Gardens, which features an extensive selection of tropical flora including some of the rarest plants in the world. Established in 1886, this is considered one of the best exhibitions of tropical plants in Australia. Discover babbling brooks, ornate bridges and lush vegetation on your guided tour of this tropical oasis. Learn about tropical flora and horticulture before we whisk you off to the new Cairns Aquarium. View the incredible biodiversity of two adjoining World Heritage Listed areas – The Wet Tropics and The Great Barrier Reef. Overnight: Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort, Cairns
 
Day 3. Rainforest and railways (BD)                                                        
Built over 100 years ago, the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway provides a spectacular scenic route between Cairns and Kuranda. Aboard this magnificent rail journey, you will wind your way past mountainous walls of the Barron Gorge National Park, through solid granite rock tunnels and tumbling rainforest waterfalls. Upon arrival in Kuranda, immerse yourself in the lush greenery of the “village in a rainforest”. Then join an amazing gondola experience above the Wet Tropics rainforest for the return journey to Cairns before boarding a harbour dinner cruise this evening. Day 4. Spirit of Queensland (BD)                                                                      
Today, board the train and settle into your premium seating for the full-day journey from Cairns to Townsville. Offering personal entertainment systems and premium leather seating, you can choose to sit back and enjoy on-board entertainment or gaze out of your window at the rural and coastal scenery. Overnight: The Ville, Townsville
 
Day 5. Magnetic Island (BD)                                                                  
This morning, board the passenger ferry for the short journey to beautiful Magnetic Island. Upon arrival, join local guides to enjoy the landscapes and learn about the abundant wildlife of this exquisite island paradise, before returning to Townsville in the afternoon. Overnight: The Ville, Townsville
 
Day 6. Townsville and Spirit of Queensland (BD)                                 
Tour the underwater wonderland with your guide at the Reef HQ Great Barrier Reef Aquarium, then visit The Museum of Tropical Queensland and The Maritime Museum before re-boarding the Spirit of Queensland for your journey to the Whitsundays. Overnight: Coral Sea Resort, Airlie Beach
         
Day 7. Airlie Beach (BLD)                                                                        
This morning we will join a local tour operator for a half-day food and produce tour featuring farms and outlets showcasing local seasonal produce. The afternoon is then at leisure at your resort or explore the town centre of Airlie Beach. Overnight: Coral Sea Resort, Airlie Beach
 
Day 8. Hamilton Island (BD)                                                                  
Travel by ferry past the many islands of the Whitsundays, before arriving at world-famous Hamilton Island. The afternoon is at your leisure to explore the island and to enjoy its many activities (at own expense). Tonight we will dine at the Pool Terrace.  Overnight: Reef View Hotel, Hamilton Island
 
Day 9. The Whitsundays (BD)                                                                
Today is at your leisure. Choose between exploring the Great Barrier Reef, snorkelling or a helicopter ride (at own expense) or relax on Hamilton Island. Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner. Overnight: Reef View Hotel, Hamilton Island
 
Day 10. Hamilton Island to Perth (B)                                                  
Transfer to the Hamilton Island Airport for your flight to Perth via Sydney. Upon arrival in Perth we will see you safely home.
