Day 1. Perth to Sydney (D)
We collect you from home for the flight to Sydney. Tonight, we will come together for a welcome dinner. Overnight: Mercure Sydney International Airport, Sydney
Day 2. Sydney to Norfolk and Dinner with the Mutineers (BD)
Board the flight to Norfolk Island at Sydney International Airport. Tonight, laugh, cheer and sing along with the talented descendants of the infamous mutiny on the HMS Bounty. Overnight each night: South Pacific Resort, Burnt Pine Township, Norfolk Island
Day 3. Introducing Norfolk and Bounty Folk Museum (BD)
This afternoon, enjoy a half-day orientation tour that will introduce you to Norfolk Island’s history, laws, culture and lifestyle as you explore famous convict buildings and the renowned Melanesian Chapel. Then purchase mementoes of your wonderful holiday at the Bounty Folk Museum.
Day 4. Anzac Day – A day at leisure (BD)
Enjoy a free day to explore Norfolk Island at your leisure. Transport is available for those who wish to attend Anzac Day services.
Day 5. Island produce and progressive dinner (BD)
Today, visit the Christian Brothers Cheese Company, a boutique dairy and cheese producer. On tour you will be taken through the farm with beautiful ocean views to meet the cows, see beehives and hear about the production of the local honey. A quick visit to the local sawmill is an added bonus. Then sample the cheese and tasty condiments on the veranda with scenic ocean and valley views. Tonight, enjoy a three-course meal progressing to different island homes. Along the way you will learn about life on the island and the hosting families, and also about local produce recipes.
Day 6. Island marine life, Convict Settlement and Night as a Convict (BD)
View beautiful coral gardens and tropical fish this morning, as two locals share their knowledge of Norfolk Island’s unique marine life aboard their glass bottom boat. This afternoon, walk through the cemetery and learn the history behind convict and colonial headstones and about the houses along Quality Row. Walk through the ruins of the New Gaol, see the Pier Store, Boat Shed and the Crank Mill. Tonight, dress as a convict and join the commandant for a feast, singing and dancing.
Day 7. Barbecue breakfast, Pitcairn Settlers and Wonderland by Night (BD)
Take a leisurely stroll or a more energetic walk to a cliff-top location for a delicious barbecue breakfast. Experience the colourful history and culture of the Pitcairn settlers at one of the last remaining original settler’s properties. Tonight, experience the Wonderland by Night encounter. The setting is 10 acres of magical Norfolk pines and bushland lit up like an enchanted forest. Meander along the trail as a descendant of the Bounty mutineers recites poems and lights up the diorama.
Day 8. Cyclorama and fish fry (BLD)
Inside Cyclorama, discover one of only a handful of paintings of its type in the world before heading to Hilli’s Restaurant for lunch. Tonight, on the beautiful cliff tops of Puppies Point, view a glorious sunset and feast on island dishes.
Day 9. Colleen McCullough and homeward bound (B)
This morning, explore the home of author, Colleen McCullough, then transfer to the Norfolk Airport for the flight to Sydney then on to Perth. Upon arrival we will see you safely home.
