Your holiday itinerary (ex Perth, Western Australia)

Day 1. Perth to Yarra Valley (D)
Commence your tour with courtesy home collection and transfers to the Perth Airport.  On arrival in Melbourne, you will be transferred to the Yarra Valley and your accommodation.  Overnight each night: Oscar’s on the Yarra, Yarra Valley

Day 2. Dandenong Views and Mountains (BLD)
Puffing Billy is Australia’s favourite steam train and one of the finest preserved steam railways in the world.  The century old steam train is still running on its original mountain track through the beautiful forests and fern gullies of the Dandenong Range.  For lunch, a delicious international smorgasbord is prepared at the Cuckoo Restaurant.  Decorated in the style of a Bavarian Chalet and with staff dressed in traditional costume, enjoy the live entertainment of music and a floorshow, cow bells ringing and yodelling equal to any in Bavaria.  At SkyHigh Mount Dandenong gain some perspective on the uppermost reaches of the Dandenong Range.  Amid cool fern glades and lush towering native forest, admire views from the Mornington Peninsula across the majestic sweep of Port Phillip Bay and onto Melbourne.

Day 3. Yarra Valley Fruit and History (BLD)
It’s the ‘Garden of Eden’ in the Yarra Valley – Raynor Stone Orchard.  Take a Tractor Fruit Tasting Tour through the groves of trees, sampling the freshest fruit, and enjoying the company of one of the staff who will share the stories and farming of the orchard.  Nearby at the Mont De Lancey Homestead and Museum, volunteer guides many of them descendants of Wandin's pioneer family, will take you on a personally guided tour of St Mary’s Chapel, the Homestead, Blacksmiths and Machinery Shed.  Enjoy the ways of yesteryear.  In the afternoon experience Domain Chandon with a lovely two course lunch and a self-guided tour surrounded by stunning views of rolling hills and verdant vineyards.  Tonight a special Who Dunnit Mystery night is planned for you.

Day 4. Yarra Valley Estates and Flowers (BLD)
Coombe – The Melba Estate, once the home of Dame Nellie Melba is a spectacular estate with stunning gardens, impressive hedges and a gallery that pays homage to the life of Dame Nellie Melba.  Next, visit the chocolatier for tastings, to view the display of premium chocolates and to watch the European chocolatiers at work.  Lunch and a tour follow at the Big Bouquet, a modern flower farm and alpaca stud.  Look behind the scenes and learn first-hand about the growing of top quality gerberas.  A guided tour will introduce you to all the aspects involved in producing these stunning cut flowers.  Healesville Sanctuary is 70 acres of bushland that offers a distinctly Australian setting for visitors to experience unique close-up encounters with some of Australia's unique and endearing wildlife.

Day 5. Tesselaar Tulip Festival (BD)
The Tesselaar Tulip Festival is a unique annual event showcasing the breathtaking beauty of over one million spring flowers in bloom including over 500,000 Tulips and 100 different varieties.  Explore the variety of species from all over the world and discover so much more with live entertainment, market stalls and tempting foods on offer.  In the afternoon, travel to Warburton located in the upper reaches of the Yarra River and surrounded by lush, tall forests of mountain ash to enjoy some free time.

Day 6. Yarra Valley to Perth (B)
Today we bid farewell to the magnificent Yarra Valley and commence the return home.  Transfer to the Melbourne Airport for the flight to Perth.  Upon arrival at the Perth Airport, a courtesy small charter vehicle will be waiting to transfer you safely home
