Day 1.  Perth to Darwin (D)                                                                  
Your holiday commences with collection from home, followed by a transfer to the Perth Airport for your flight to Darwin. Settle into your tropical surroundings, as you prepare for a delightful holiday experiencing Darwin’s ancient landscapes. Overnight each night: Hilton Darwin
 
Day 2. Darwin city sightseeing (B)                                                                 
Wander through monsoon forests, mangroves and open woodlands at the George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens. Showcasing the flora of northern Australia and other tropical habitats around the world, the gardens span 42 hectares. Then we will head to the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory to view the Cyclone Tracy exhibit, meet the Top End’s most famous crocodile and immerse ourselves in art, culture, history and natural science. Following lunch, we make our way to Crocosaurus Cove to learn all about the critters and crocodiles of the Top End. Here, you will get a close-up view of Australia’s iconic saltwater crocodile, see Australia’s largest display of Australian reptiles, hold a baby crocodile, check out the barramundi in the 200,000-litre fresh water aquarium and visit the turtle enclosure. To round off a truly memorable day, we visit the vibrant Mindil Beach Sunset Markets, which feature entertainment and a variety of different art and craft stalls.
 
Day 3. Floodplains, wetlands and billabongs (BLD)                                 
Leaving Darwin, we travel the Arnhem Highway to Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve which is located in the lower Adelaide River catchment and provides a haven for wildlife. We stop at the Window on the Wetlands Visitor Centre, which is perched on Beatrice Hill and is one of the highest points on the Adelaide River Floodplain. In the afternoon we take a spectacular cruise on the Corroboree Billabong, which has the largest concentration of saltwater crocodiles in the world. 
 
Day 4. Litchfield National Park (BLD)                                                             
Today, we will travel to the Litchfield National Park to experience thundering waterfalls, breathtaking waterholes and dramatic landscapes. You will also discover the intriguing magnetic termite mounds and weathered sandstone pillars dotting the landscape known as the Lost City because it resembles remains of an ancient civilisation. Important: Please wear suitable footwear and take sunscreen, a shady hat, bathers, towel and insect repellent for today’s outing. 
 
Day 5. Australia’s front line and sunset harbour cruise (BD)                              
Take in Darwin’s WWII sites, memorials and museums today on a tour of the city. At the Darwin Military Museum there is a short film on the first raids which took place on 19th February 1942. The afternoon is at your leisure, then relax aboard a dinner cruise on the harbour at sunset this evening.
 
Day 6. Darwin to Perth (B)                                                                             
Bid farewell to the tropical Top End today and transfer to the airport for the return flight to Perth. Upon arrival you will be greeted by our courtesy vehicles and transferred safely home.
