Day 1. Perth to Sydney(D)
Pack your bags for an adventure of a lifetime. Your journey begins with courtesy home collection and
transfers to the Perth International Airport for your flight to Sydney. Overnight: Mercure Sydney Airport, Sydney
Day 2. Sydney to Santiago (Inflight, D)
Relax aboard your flight to South America. On arrival into the Chilean capital, Santiago, you will appreciate the city’s spectacular setting of snow capped Andean peaks and smaller coastal ranges. We transfer to the hotel where there will be time to relax in preparation for your trip of a lifetime. Overnight: Santiago, Chile
Day 3. Santiago (BD)
Today we embark on a half day panoramic city tour of Santiago. Experience views of a moving city, from the history of the colonial neighbourhoods to the modernity of the new financial centre also known as “Sanhattan”. We begin by the city's old residential area, passing by beautiful residences. We continue to the green Parque Forestal, where we admire the stunning building that houses the Fine Arts Museum. Then visit Cerro San Cristóbal where we have a unique view of the city. Our tour ends with the bohemian Bellavista neighbourhood. The afternoon is free for you to relax or further explore this great city. Overnight: Santiago, Chile
Day 4. Santiago to Valparaiso (BD)
We depart to the coast via Route 68, which connects Santiago with the port of Valparaiso. We cross the Curacavi Valley, with its fruit trees, plantations, vineyards then the Casablanca valley, a wine making area. Welcome to Valparaiso, a lush, irresistible tangle of serpentine streets and steep hills. We admire Valparaiso from the hills. Through walkways and terraces, we witness the wonderful natural amphitheatre that frames the bay, and the history of this port-city and World heritage site. Early afternoon, we board our ship for our 22 day luxurious cruise with Holland America Line. Overnight 21 Nights: ms Zaandam
Day 5. Day at Sea (BLD)
Cruising the west coast of South America, enjoy the wealth of onboard cruise activities and indulgences, along with the freedom to do as much or as little as you please. Nights on board glitter with choices. Visit one of the many lounges featuring live music and award-winning entertainment, try your luck at the blackjack table or catch an extravagant Las Vegas-style production in the show lounge.
Day 6. Puerto Montt, Chile (BLD)
Today we visit Puerto Montt, the gateway to the scenic Lake District, a series of fragrant eucalyptus and pine forests, icy lakes, Bavarian hamlets and luminous snow-capped volcanoes (shore excursions are at your own expense).
Day 7. Castro, Isla Chiloe, Chile (BLD)
Puerto Chacabuco is a small isolated settlement and the entrance port to one of the most unspoiled and underdeveloped places in the Patagonia. The highlights of this area are the valleys, forests, cascading waterfalls, canyon rivers and beaches. The towns of Aysen and Coyhaique provide interesting crafts, foods and wine (shore excursions are at your own expense).
Day 8. Puerto Chacabuco, Chile (BLD)
Here in the heart of the Chilean archipelago, discover stunning scenery, dense rain forests, bright-blue lakes and snow-covered mountain peaks (shore excursions are at your own expense).
Day 9. Chilean Fjords (BLD)
Aboard your luxurious cruise ship, travel along the southern coastline of Chile, where the fjords are renowned and more spectacular than those in Norway or Alaska. Experience a 1,000-mile maze of virgin-forested islands, glistening glaciers and more fjords than in all of Scandinavia.
Day 10. Canal Sarmiento and Amalia Glacier (BLD)
Cutting through Chile’s Torres del Paine National Park, this majestic waterway is surrounded by other-worldly beauty. Be among the lucky few to spend a glorious day scenic cruising through Tierra del Fuego and the snow-capped peaks and ethereal blue glaciers of Canal Sarmiento. Relax and watch as Amalia Glacier comes into view and witness countless seabirds that make their home in this dramatic landscape.
Day 11. Strait of Magellan, Punta Arenas, Chile Cockburn Channel and Beagle Channel (BLD)
Today, enter the Strait of Magellan and cruise the Chile Cockburn Channel and Beagle Channel. At Punta Arenas, a remote town pioneered by Yugoslav settlers and sheep ranchers, step ashore for a shore excursion (shore excursions are at your own expense).
Day 12. Glacier Alley and Ushuaia, Argentina (BLD)
Cruise through the majestic Glacier Alley. On arrival into the southernmost town in the world, Ushuaia, admire the dominating peaks which loom on three sides and the fourth which opens to the Beagle Channel, where sea lions bellow and king crabs rule (shore excursions are at your own expense).
Day 13. Cape Horn and Drake Passage (BLD)
Cape Horn is the most southerly point of South America and is where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans meet. The Cape’s steep and rocky cliffs rise up and extend into Drake Passage.

Day 15/16/17/18. Antarctica Experience (BLD)
Nothing will prepare you for the breathtaking beauty of Antarctica. It’s the fifth largest continent and the coldest and driest palace on earth and it’s also a land like no other. This is Scotland under the Southern Cross where you will find moorlands, pubs, red phone booths, sheep ranches, a "cuppa tea”, plus penguins of every type, Gentoo, Magellanic and King (shore excursions are at your own expense).

Day 22. Puerto Madryn, Argentina (BLD)
Situated in rugged Argentine Patagonia, Puerto Madryn was founded by Welsh immigrants in 1865. Enjoy a famous Welsh "tea" in the village of Gaiman, journey back in time 300 million years at the Palaeontology Museum of Egidio Feruglio in Trelew, and see colonies of sea elephants, sea lions and seals in their natural habitat at Punta Norte (shore excursions are at your own expense).

Day 24. Montevideo, Uruguay (BLD)
Friendly and genteel, Montevideo honours colonial customs, long lunches, siestas and high tea. Nearby, is Colonia del Sacramento, the oldest city in Uruguay (ca. 1680) and a UNESCO World Heritage Site (shore excursions are at your own expense).
Day 25. Buenos Aires, Argentina (BLD)
Buenos Aires is one of the cultural and commercial capitals of South America. Yet what distinguishes this 21st-century metropolis, from other cities of the same ilk, is its proximity to the country and in turn, country living. On the eight-hour "Gaucho Life on the Pampas" excursion, visit an estancia in the country, dine on empanadas, and watch as the gauchos perform a rodeo-style show featuring roping and singing. If you like, you can get a taste of Argentina without leaving the city by combining a wine tasking with a tour of the city (shore excursions are at your own expense).
Day 26. Buenos Aires (BD)
This morning we disembark the ship and enjoy a half day scenic tour of Buenos Aires before transferring to our hotel. Tonight dine at the hotel. Overnight: Buenos Aires
Day 27/28. Argentina and Homeward Bound (inflight)
Board your return flight home to Perth. On arrival into Perth where taxis will be on hand to safely return you home.
