Day 1. The Indian Pacific Train (D)
Today begins with courtesy collection from home and transfers to the train station.  Aboard the Indian Pacific, relax as the epic journey from coast to coast commences.  Travelling east, settle into the privileges of Gold Class Service.  This is going to be an unforgettable rail holiday packed with eye-opening, life-changing experiences.  Overnight: The Indian Pacific Train
Day 2. Cook and the Nullarbor (BLD)
Upon waking, arrive at the edge of the sweeping Nullarbor Plain where vast blue skies and the ancient stillness of the desert landscape await you.  This morning, step off the train at Cook.  Here you will get a sense of the Nullarbor's intense remoteness as you wander through Cook's abandoned buildings and learn about the town's intriguing history.  Back on board, your journey continues as you cross the longest stretch of rail track in the world – the Nullarbor Plain.  Overnight: The Indian Pacific Train
Day 3. South Australia and Broken Hill (BLD)
This morning the desert gives way to the rolling countryside.  Arriving into Adelaide, choose a highlights tour of Adelaide or visit the famous Adelaide Central Markets for a feast for the senses.  Back on board travel to Broken Hill, one of Australia’s legendary outback bases defined by its wide streets and country pubs.  Here you can visit the late Pro Hart's art studio or head to the Miners' Memorial where the stark reality of working in Broken Hill's mines over the ages is writ large.  Overnight: The Indian Pacific Train
Day 4. The Blue Mountains (BD)
This morning, wind your way into the magnificent Blue Mountains.  It is here we bid farewell to the Indian Pacific to enjoy the delights of the picturesque Blue Mountains.  Your excursion will feature Scenic World and include morning tea.  In the early afternoon we depart Katoomba and join a special NSW Trainlink service that will take us into Sydney.  This evening settle into your accommodation at Darling Harbour.  Overnight: Novotel Sydney Darling Harbour, Sydney
Day 5. Sydney High Tea at Sea (B)
Today you will enjoy the delights of Sydney Harbour beginning with a coach tour of the city including iconic landmarks and famous waterside destinations.  Next at the Sydney Museum, discover the complex, curious and at times confronting past, on a guided tour that will take you on a journey from convict colony to global city.  In the afternoon it’s all aboard for High Tea at Sea.  Tea will be served starting with bubbles followed by a delicious selection of sweet and savoury treats accompanied by million dollar views.  Tonight is at your leisure. Day 6. Sydney Royal Easter Show (BD)
The Sydney Royal Easter Show is a celebration of Australia’s rural traditions to our modern day lifestyles.  First held in 1823, the show is now Australia’s largest ticketed annual event.  Today with your fellow passengers, we take you to experience this epic event.  Wander the competitions, animal experiences and view the live entertainment, carnival fun and shopping. (Please note that this event is over a large area and requires a good level of mobility to explore the full grounds and to negotiate the crowds).  Overnight: Novotel Sydney Darling Harbour, Sydney
Day 7. West Side Story (BD)
Staging an opera involves talented people from all kinds of disciplines – milliners, wig makers, cobblers, costumiers, designers, carpenters, musicians, conductors, choreographers, scenic artists, singers and so many more.  On a visit to the Opera Centre’s vast production workshops and rehearsal studios, hear how an opera is made.  Next is the essential visitor destination, The Rocks.  Here we take a guided walking tour hear the story of Sydney as we stroll along the cobbled lanes.  There will also be free time.  Choose to enjoy the all-day markets or return to your accommodation.  Tonight one of the world’s great outdoor opera events, Handa Opera with its Harbour side setting and spectacular views will be an unforgettable evening experience from your premium seating.  The West Side Story, an enthralling show, is a sensational storm of exuberant dance and wistful romance.  A phenomenon that never faded, witness a magic night with an all singing, all dancing cast that takes on Bernstein’s brilliant score and Jerome Robbins electrifying choreography. (Please note that there are many stairs to negotiate to reach your seats.  A good level of mobility is required.)  Overnight: Novotel Sydney Darling Harbour, Sydney
Day 8. Sydney to Perth (B)
Your magical musical holiday in Sydney comes to an end.  We take you to the Sydney Airport for your return flight to Perth.  On arrival, our courtesy small charter vehicle will be on hand to see you safely home.
