Day 2. Walhalla (BLD)
Spend the day in Walhalla, a picturesque township and once the heart of one of the most vibrant gold mining districts in the world. Day 3. Central Gippsland (BLD)

Day 4. Great Alpine Road (BD)
From Bairnsdale to Bright, view breathtaking alpine scenery and sweeping mountain landscapes. In Bairnsdale see magnificent murals and in Omeo, admire the historic gold rush streets then climb to great heights to Mt Hotham and Dinner Plain and descend into the Ovens Valley. Day 5. Beautiful Bright (BD)
Today discover Bright in its autumnal splendour. Begin with a local guide for a tour of Bright and surrounds. The magnificent promenade of exotic trees will be all shades of red, orange and gold. The afternoon is then at leisure. Overnight: Best Western High Country Inn, Bright
Day 6. Mt Beauty and Falls Creek (BD)
At Mount Beauty learn about the first people of the valley and discover why the huts of the high plains are so important to Victoria’s heritage. In the afternoon take the scenic journey to Falls Creek, Victoria’s biggest ski resort. Overnight: Best Western High Country Inn, Bright
Day 7. Beechworth History (BD)
In Beechworth, explore the gold rush days and this magnificently well preserved historical town. The guided tour of the Historic and Cultural Precinct is followed by the Old Beechworth Gaol tour. Discover the Ned Kelly story and the many other characters. Overnight: George Kerferd Hotel, Beechworth
Day 8. Tumbarumba Show (BLD)
Today is Good Friday! At Tumbarumba meet Tim, a fourth generation mountain cattleman whose live performance combines horsemanship, mustering, whip cracking and the amazing antics of his animals. Day 9. Snowy Mountains Drive (BLD)
Travel the glorious Snowy Mountains Highway from Tumut to Cooma. In Adaminaby, the fabulous Easter Fair is taking shape. Wander the stalls, sample the produce, meet the locals and then visit the Snowy Scheme Museum and view the magnificent handmade Stage Curtains. Overnight: Sovereign Inn, Cooma
Day 10. Easter Sunday in Cooma (BLD)
Happy Easter Sunday! Today the Cooma Rotary Country Market is held in Centennial Park. We then travel to Lake Jindabyne, the setting for an inspiring outdoor sculpture exhibition and competition. Continue the scenic drive into Thredbo and Lake Crackenback. Overnight: Sovereign Inn, Cooma
Day 11. Cooma to Canberra (B)
Bid farewell to the High Country and make the journey to Canberra. Early evening join your flight to Perth. On arrival we will see you safely home.
