Tasmania

Tasmania

Tasmania, the Apple Isle, is the one of the most historic states in Australia.  First sighted in 1642 by the Dutch explorer Able Tasman, Tasmania had a rugged history but in modern times has some of the best historical buildings to view in the country.  With clean, fresh air and some of the most spectacular scenery, you will soon understand why so many people flock here each year.

Hobart positively teems with history from the wonderful Salamanca district with its fantastic restaurants and bars bringing the old buildings back to life and Macquarie Street and Davey Street have almost 60 National Trust buildings between them!  Venturing out of Hobart there is amazing sights in every direction from beautiful Richmond and Ross to the Port Arthur Historical Site where a visit will leave you humbled.

But it’s not all about history, Tasmania has some spectacular scenery including the Cradle Mountain region, Tarkine Wilderness area, Tamar Valley and the Tasman Peninsular.  While you are travelling around Tassie with villa you will of course, taste some fantastic produce to enjoy wherever you are on the island.

From Launceston to Strahan, down to Hobart and across to Bicheno, villa takes you to all of the iconic places in this wonderful state.  With a great range of tours from a circumnavigation of the island to a 9 day stay in Hobart, villa has something for everyone.

And don't forget Tassie's amazing outer islands, King and Flinders.  Villa can take you there for an amazing adventure.  See incredible wildlife and coastal scenery.  Simply stunning!
