Your holiday itinerary (ex Perth, Western Australia)

Day 1. Perth to Sydney (D)
Your tour commences with courtesy transfers to the Perth Airport for your flight to Sydney.  Overnight each night: Novotel Darling Harbour, Sydney

Day 2. Sydney Sights (BD)
Begin this morning enjoying the happiest music on earth at Fairground Follies. Sing, dance or reminisce amongst the greatest collection of self-playing instruments in the Southern Hemisphere.  You will marvel at the sight and sounds of European Dance Hall Organs, the 100 year old Steam Merry-go-round, self playing violins and the Grannd Taj mahjal - one of the world's largest, most elaborate self-playing instruments.  Finish the tour with a nostalgic ride on the elaborately carved 100 year old carousel.  Next Paddy's Markets has held a central place in Sydney's history for over 150 years.  At leisure, enjoy lunch and explore the wide variety of stalls.  Today the Museum of Sydney protects the fragile remains the first Government House a deeply significant and symbolic site which tells ongoing stories of Sydney and its people.  Nearby a tour of the Sydney Observatory unravels the stories past of this heritage-listed site and visits the exhibitions and the Signal Station to learn the history of the Observatory.  Tonight there is no better way to experience Sydney’s iconic harbour than to dine waterside at Cockle Bay Wharf.

Day 3. New Year’s Eve in Sydney (BD)
This morning, discover a secret paradise in the heart of metropolitan Sydney.  Feel the sun on your face and a bit of zen, at Darling Harbour's Chinese Garden of Friendship.  The walled Chinese Garden respectfully recreates the philosophy and harmony of a traditional Chinese garden with waterfalls, lakes, exotic plants, pavilions and hidden pathways.  The gardens will transport you to another world and will leave you mesmerised.  Koi carp swim in the lakes, willows weep in the breeze, and sculptures, carvings and calligraphy are dotted throughout the gardens.  Next your visit to the World Heritage listed Hyde Park Barracks will showcase one of the most significant convict sites in the world. A crossroads for tens of thousands of people, it played a central role in the world’s largest and longest-running system of convict transportation.  The afternoon is then free.  You are welcome to enjoy the city, explore Darling Harbour or relax at the hotel.  Tonight is the night you have been waiting for.  Spend the evening at Darling Harbour to view the activity of light shows, the party atmosphere and fireworks which ignite the sky at 9pm and midnight. Your VIP package will include dinner, drinks and views of the Darling Harbour Fireworks. For those that wish to experience one of the greatest firework displays in the world (optional extra) please contact our office for further details.  Sydney’s world-famous show kicks off from 6pm when thrilling air displays take over the skies above the harbour, fire tugs create striking water displays and traditional custodians perform a Welcome to Country.  At 9pm, a special fireworks display for kids and families is followed by an enchanting Harbour of Light Parade.  On the stroke of midnight, dazzling fireworks erupt from barges on the water, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.

Day 4. New Year’s Day (BLD)
After a spectacular night we have a leisurely day planned to explore the coast just south of Sydney. Less than an hour from Sydney is the entrance to the world’s second oldest National Park, the Royal National Park and the beginning of the Grand Pacific Drive a 140km drive that will take us through coastal rainforests, quaint seaside villages and traverse along the iconic 665 metre Sea Cliff Bridge.  It's so much more than a bridge - shaped like a snake, majestically sweeping over the waters of the Pacific! To drive it is exhilarating but look the other way at the cliffs and find the eagles living there and the ancient layers of the eastern edge of this timeless land is truly one of Australia's most photogenic experiences!  We have a delightful lunch planned before returning to the bright lights of Sydney.

Day 5. Sydney to Perth (B)
Your New Year in Sydney holiday draws to a close as we transfer you to the Sydney Airport for your return flight to Perth.  On arrival, our courtesy small charter vehicles will see you safely home.
